Five BD students win Asia young designer award

Five Bangladeshi students have owned Asia Young Designer Award 2016 in Architectural and Interior Designing Category, according to a press release.
Nippon Paint is the sponsor of the competition. 83 students took part in the competition from 35 local universities. In this competition two students achieved Gold Award for their outstanding projects in Architectural and Interior Designing category.
One of them is Mahmuda Binte Habib from North South University and other one is Ashikur from Shanto Mariam University. Both of Gold Award winners received a separate cheque worth Fifty Thousand Taka. In the same categories there were Silver Awards with cheque worth Twenty Five Thousand Taka to the two students, they are Mahdia from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology and Maliha from Shanto Mariam University. Besides, Syed Mohammad Tariq from Shanto Mariam University received Best Color Selection Award.
Participants in this completion were from the department of Architecture and Interior Design in different Public Universities and Private Universities in Bangladesh. Main objective of this ceremony is to nurture the future representative of Bangladesh to the international level.
Nippon Paint handed over the awards in an official arrangement of the ceremony in Wednesday at Dhaka. Theme of this ceremony of Asia Young Designer Award 2016 was “Be Bold, Be Free, Be You”.
Though this is the first round of its competition in Bangladesh, but this competition started way back in 2008 as Nippon Paint Young Designer Award.
