Some unidentified miscreants have poisoned fishes to death in three ponds at Udoypur village under Sadar upazila on Friday night. The damage of the fishes is primarily estimated at Tk 2 lakh.
The owner of the three ponds is Razzak Hossain of Udoypur village under Sadar upazila. He is a fish farmer of the area. He took lease of the three ponds.
Locals and family members said, on Friday morning at around 6-30 am they found fishes floating on the water of the ponds which have been poisoned to death.
Razzak’s wife Bithi Khatun said, her husband is a fish farmer. Taking lease some ponds, he was doing fish farming . will judge them, she prays. How she will maintain her family and bear the educational expenses of her children? Due to enmity the miscreants have done this subversive activity.
Officer- in -charge (OC) Biplob Kumar Nath of Sadar police station said, he was informed the matter. If any allegation is filed , he will take necessary action in this regard.
