A fisherman died from electrocution at Dharanti village in Sarail upazila here on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Adhir Das, 45, son of Alik Das of the village.
Adhir got electrocuted when he entered a rickshaw garage to bring a rickshaw, said Md MofizUddin, officer-in-charge of Sarail Police Station. Being rescued by neighbours, he was taken to Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
On information, police visited the spot.
