Fish worth Tk one lakh were poisoned to death in a pond at Thekra Rahimpur village in Kaliganj upazila on Tuesday night.
Kazi Abdullah, owner of the fish farm, said he found dead fishes floating in the pond at night. Witnesses said Kazi Abdullah and his neighbour Mir Sabilar Rahman of the village had been at loggerheads over the ownership of a piece of land.
Kazi Abdullah claimed that men of Mir Sabilar Rahman poured poison into the pond following previous enmity.
