JCI Dhaka East organised the first phase of their initiative “Pashea Ashi”, at Abdul Ali Shebashram, Kapashia on Friday. The aim of the initiative is to help the elderlies living at old homes with health care facilities and to provide them with psychological support with small gestures of love that might work to fill up the absence of close ones in their lives, said a press release.
As part of this initiative, JCI Dhaka East conducted free diabetes check-up and physiotherapy session of the elderlies at Abdul Ali Shebashram. The founder of Ribana, Md. Wahiduzzaman, sponsored the diabetic check-up programme and Sarah Anny, physiotherapist, Praava Health, conducted physiotherapy session of these elderlies. Ahmed Food sponsored food items for the first phase of the project.
A team under the leadership of 2022 Local President, Tahsin Azim Shezan initiated the program to provide care and support needs of the elderlies at old homes. The Chair of Organising Committee for the programme was Shameema NasrinS hampa, Local Director JCI Dhaka East. Other members including BOD members of JCI Dhaka East, Nuzhatul Kawnain, Sanama Faiz, Tahsin Jaman Nayeem, Rahat Chowdhury and Anita Chowdhury were present and contributed towards the success of the programme.
