Railway Minister Md. Mujibul Hoque visited Chittagong Railway workshop in Pahartali on Saturday to bring the dynamism of the workshop.
In the meantime, the members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railway Ministry visited the workshop earlier. Railway minister informed the journalists after his visit there.
The minister also said the first ever meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railway Ministry will be held at Chittagong Railway East zone headquarters today and the parliamentary committee will submit a proposal for upgrading the railway workshop in the meeting.
During his visit, he went round the diesel and carriage workshop and enquired the different obstructions for full fledged working facilities. He also enquired the less presence of the workers in the workshop. During the visit of the Minister, Chairman of the standing committee ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury accompanied the minister.
