Chattogram City Corporation Administrator Khorshed Alam Sujan addressed the first meet of the CCC Advisory committee yesterday for development of the city. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is requesting all local and foreign investors for development in the industrial sector of the country. The present govt under dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is constructing tunnel under the Karnafuli river to facilitate investment . The administrator also said t he railway line is going from Chattogram to Ghundhum enroute to China via Myanmar aimed at opening of golden doors of the country’s economy in future. With the launching of Bay Terminal, India, Nepal, Bhutan, and other neighbouring countries will be able to use the Chattogram port through multilevel connectivity. ‘
He made the remarks at a meeting of the first advisory committee held at the Tigerpass CCC Bhaban yesterday morming. Acting President of Nagar Awami League Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury, immediate past CCC Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin, Daily Azadi Editor MA Malek, former Mayor Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Professor Gautam Buddha Das, Navy Commodore (Retd. ) Jobayer Ahmed, Urban Planner and Honorary Consul of Russia Architect Ashiq Imran, Educationist Hasina Zakaria, President of Institution of Engineers Chattogram Center Prabir Kumar Sen, President of Chattogram Press Club Ali Abbas and First Vice President of BGMEA MA Salam among others spoke on the occasion. CCC administrator has formed an 18-member advisory committee to seek the advice of eminent people to build an aesthetic, environment-friendly and developed Chattogram city.
