The2hourjob.com, the country’s first job portal for women, has set out to harness the unutilized skill of professional women. The online platform was inaugurated by Telecom and ICT Minister Mustafa Jabbar on Sunday at the capital’s Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC).
The2hourjob.com is a portal unveiling for women the window to offer professional services staying in home.
Inaugurating the platform, ICT minister Mustafa Jabbar said, “Thanks to the tech-revolution, the need for physical presence in the job place is becoming less important than before. The2hour job is a platform for women where physical presence is not needed. Here all that matters is the skill that empowers a woman. Regardless of the educational background, a woman can earn money and create their identities through their skills.”
Sanjida Khandaker, the founder of The2hourjob.com, said, “A total of 1950 female professionals have registered under 47 service categories to serve different business houses, agency, individuals and e commerce and startup. We believe that this is a reliable platform for women to utilize their potential staying in home. Nevertheless, it will also help business outlets to get their job done at a remuneration they can afford to pay.”
“Now women would be able to manage two different worlds with ease – the family they belong to and the profession they take up to have a financial footing. This will make them self-sufficient. They will live with their own professional identity. That they put their heart to family doesn’t imply that they have to compromise on their career,” she further said.
