First ever natural gas carrying vessel was built in the country aimed at easy transportation of natural gas across the country.
Radiant Marine design & Services Ltd of Chittagong built this vessel having 300 metric tons gas . The name of the vessel is MT Omera Princes which operate within the marine roads of Bangladesh. This is first ever ship built here . The primary registration of the LPG carrying vessel was given to operate .
A valid permission was also granted to the vessel by Mercentile Marine Deptt in the meantime. While contacted the Princi[pal officer of the Mercentile Marine Deptt Engr. Shafiqul Islam told that Bangladesh has achieved ahead in ship building industry through built a this type of vessel first in the country. MT Omera Prince is 58 meters length, breadth 10 meters with 3.50 meters draft.
