FMC Dockyard Ltd , Chittagong has created new history in the field of shipbuilding sector through manufacturing a high profile fishing trawler . The trawler is the ever first defectless ocean-going fishing trawler in the history of Bangladesh.
FMC sources said, FV CML Labiba trawler went for two days trial in deep sea and finally proved any defect in sea voyage. The trawler is now ready for fishing in harbor , sources said. Managing Director of FMC Dockyard Ltd Md.Yasin Chowdhury told that there are four fishing trawlers under construction in his dockyard.
He further said, if the FMC Dockyard is new one in the shipbuilding sector but has attained success in building container vessel, oil tanker, dredger, cruise vessel ferry ,tug boat, paltun boat, etc in the meantime.
