The Walton Air Conditioner First Division Volleyball League begins tomorrow at the Volleyball Stadium.
Bangladesh Volleyball Federation will arrange the volleyball competition under auspices of Walton.
A total of seven teams will take part in the volleyball meet. They are: Bangladesh Jail, Uttara Sporting Club, Bhai Bhai Sangha, Naba Jagoroni Sangha, Shabolombi Society, Madartek Mitali Sangha and East End Boys.
Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell, MP will inaugurate the 10-day long volleyball meet as the chief guest while Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Don will be with him as the special guest.
To mark the ensuing volleyball competition, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
Executive Director of Walton SM Zahid Hasan, Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Don, Vice-President of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) Tabiur Rahman, Acting General Secretary of BVF Advocate Fazle Rabbi Babul, Deputy Director of Walton Feroze Alam, Secretary of the League Committee Kazi Abdul Hannan were present at the conference.
The budget of the tournament has been estimated at Tk two lakh thirty three thousand and one hundred while Walton, the sponsor of the meet has given all the money to BVF to run the competition smoothly.
