The Walton Home Appliance First Division Chess League begins tomorrow at the Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room. Bangladesh Chess Federation (BCF) will arrange the handball competition under auspices of RB Group.
Regarding the forthcoming chess meet, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday. Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, Senior Vice-President of BCF KM Shahidullah, General Secretary of Bangladesh Chess Federation Gazi Shayiful Tarique, Chairman of the League Committee and Joint-Secretary of BCF Shamim Khan and Joint-Secretary of the Federation Morsalin Ahmed were present at the conference.
A total of ten teams will take part in the chess league. They are: Faith Chess Club, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Sonali Bank Sports & Recreation Club, Bashir Memorial Chess Club, Farashganj Sporting Club, Prativa Daba Goshthi, Destiny 2000 Limited, Golden Chess Club, Devdas Smrity Sangsad and Mohakhali Prodeep Sangha.
The chess meet will be held on round robin league basis. Top two teams will get tickets of the Premier Division Chess League.
