The First Division Chess League will commence from December 30 to January 7 with the participation of 12 teams, said a Walton Group press release.
The league will be held on a round robin league and the champions and runners-up team will be promoted to next year’s to Premier Division chess league.
While the two teams who finishes at bottom will be relegated to second division chess league.
In this regards, Walton Group operative director head of games and Sports FM Iqbal Bin Anwar said they have maintain their relation and participation with the Bangladesh Chess Federation on a regular basis.
He said the league will be held under the banner of Marcel at the end of this month.
