First children’s TV channel ‘Duronto’ starts its journey

In the history of Bangladeshi TV channels, for the first time a channel dedicated only to children, ‘Duronto,’ has started its journey. The prime objective of this channel will be to broadcast programmes that are focused on children’s entertainment. Among the programmes there will shows related to travelling, magic, science, sports, family, toys and many more.
The logo of ‘Duronto’ was inaugurated in a press conference in city’s Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel on 5th October. Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu, was present as the chief guest of the logo inauguration ceremony. Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, State Minister for Post and Telecommunications Tarana Halim, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md. Shahriar Alam, and eminent media personality Faridur Reza Sagor attended the event as special guests.
Managing director of ‘Duronto’ informed the press saying: “Our Channel has started its journey to develop our children by entertaining them with our Nation’s’ history, tradition and culture. The children of our country does not have proper entertainment facilities. We hope that both the children and parents will enjoy our programs.”
“Duronto” is Renaissance Group’s TV production. This children’s channel will start broadcasting from 15 October.
