The first batch of Bangladesh Cricket team returned to Dhaka on Friday. Bangladesh T20 Cricket team have only one win in the ICC T20 World Cup, so far. Bangladesh beat West Indies in the first edition of T20 World Cup in 2007. After, that Bangladesh could not beat any team in the final phase of the ICC T20 World Cup. Bangladesh failed to win in any match of the final phase of this World Cup. Not only that, Bangladesh tasted defeat to Scotland in the qualification round this World Cup. Besides, Bangladesh lost to Sri Lanka in the warm-up match and lost to Ireland in the warm-up match.
After Bangladesh reached in the final phase, Bangladesh played five matches and suffered defeat to their opponents in all the matches. It may be mentioned that Bangladesh were all out for below hundred runs in their last two matches.
However, the first batch of failure Bangladesh team returned to Dhaka yesterday. The players of first batch are: Shoriful Islam, Mohammad Naim, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain, Afif Hossain, Shamim Hossain and three members of Bangladesh Team Management.
The second batch was scheduled to return to Dhaka on Friday night. The cricketers of second batch are: Soumya Sarkar, Nurul Hasan Sohan and Mahedi Hasan.
The four senior cricketers including Mahmudullah Riyad, Mushfiqur Rahim, Liton Das and Taskin Ahmed will return to Dhaka before starting the upcoming Pakistan series. The coaching camp for the forthcoming Pakistan series will start from November 12. The four cricketers will return Dhaka before the training camp.
The cricketers did not talk to the newsmen after returning to Dhaka.
