At least 20 people, including journalists, were injured at Savar when a group of Awami League activists fired at the BNP procession on Wednesday night. The injured were admitted into local hospitals and clinics.
The incident took place at 9 pm when the party’s chairman candidate Mahmudul Hasan Alal brought out a procession. The Cannel i representative’s vehicle was also damaged.
Officer-in-Charge of Savar PS Qumruzzaman said that he had heard the news and sent police there.
