‘Returning to Roots’ (Firey Chol Matir Taney), a youth leadership initiative of Hridoye Mati O Manush, Channel i invited fifth-grade students from English Medium School, BSI (Baridhara Scholars Institution) to field for first-hand agricultural knowledge.
This TV initiative with kids is popularly known as ‘RTR Junior.’ Like the past seasons, on the fifth season of RTR Junior, eminent media personality Shykh Seraj took 20 students to the field of farmer Milon Matbor, situated in Bageshwar village in Munsiganj Sadar for planting potato seeds on 5 decimals of land, during early dawn.
Earlier, 20 students were selected to plant potato seeds. Before going to the field, selected students came to Channel i to take part in a brief workshop session on plantation of potato seeds.
The plantation episode of RTR Junior will be aired on December 12 at 9:50pm on Channel i.
The programme will be re-telecast December 13 at 11:30am.
Three months later, they will travel again to Munsiganj to harvest the potatoes.
