A fire broke out at a textile mill in Chittagong Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) here, gutting huge raw materials and finish products.
Fire Service control room official Sarwar Jahan said the fire originated from an electric short circuit of the Al Hamidia Textile Mills Limited owned by Feroj Ali Fokri around 12.15 pm.
Two units of fire brigade brought the blaze under control after one and a half hour of efforts, he said.
