Valuables worth about Tk 10 lakh were gutted in a devastating fire that broke out at a fish-feed factory and a plastic shop in Rajakhali area under Bakalia police station in the city in early hours of yesterday.. However, no one was injured in the fire.
Locals said the fire originated from an electric short-circuit at the fish-feed factory at about 3.45 am and soon engulfed the adjacent plastic shop. On receiving information, four units of fire fighters rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire by 6:15am.
