A fire broke out at Hajji Colony in Ghatforhadbeg area of the city on Saturday morning.
Duty officer at Chittagong control room of the Fire Service and Civil Defense (FSCD) Rupak Biswas said the fire erupted at the area around 8am.
On information, eight units of firefighters rushed to the spot and put out the flame around 9:55am, after a frantic effort of two hours, Rupak added.
The amount of losses and the reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
