A fire was broken out at Dhaka Hotel in Chittagong University on Thursday.
In a minor fire incident, the hotel has been slightly damaged.
The incident occurred on the kitchen room of Dhaka hotel around 12.30 am on Thursday.
According to eyewitness, the Dhaka Hotel suddenly caught fire at midnight. During this time, the students tried to bring the fire under control. Later, two fire service units came to the spot and took the fire under control with the help of the students at around 1 am. The fire might have originated from the wood of the kitchen room initially. Assistant Officer of Hathazari Fire Service Station Mohammad Abu Jafar Chowdhury said two units rushed to the spot after receiving the news of the fire. With the help of students and locals, the fire was fully under control within half an hour.
