UNB, Dhaka :
A fire broke out at Rohingya camp-16 in Ukhia upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Sunday afternoon, but no casualties were immediately reported.
The fire started at 4.50 pm at the camp and eight firefighting units rushed to the spot.
After almost two hour long efforts the fire was tamed at 6:45 pm, said Abdullah, Station Officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence office in Ukhia.
“Currently the fire fighters are dumping the flames to douse it completely,” he said.
No casualties were reported in the fire and the damage could not be estimated immediately, said the fire service official.
He said, “How the fire started can be determined after an investigation.”
