A fire broke out at Lily Plaza- a shopping mall adjacent to Mouchak Market in the city on Sunday afternoon.
Khandaker Jalil, an officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence, said the fire broke out in the kitchen of ‘Coffee Corner Chinese Restaurant’ on the first floor of Lily Plaza around 4pm.
Eight firefighting units rushed in and doused the blaze within 15 minutes, he said. Jalil said the fire might have originated from a woven in the kitchen of the restaurant.
No casualty was reported as the staff and customers of the restaurant safely made the exit seeing the flame.
