The fire that broke out on the ninth floor of the Janata Tower at Motijheel in the capital was brought under control on Tuesday morning.
Three units of Fire Service and Civil Defence rapidly doused the flame around 9:10 am
that occurred at 8:40 am in the survey room at ninth floor of the building, said operator of fire service control room Ziaur Rahman.
The cause of the fire could not be detected immediately.
No casualty was reported yet over the incident.
