A fire broke out at Central Hospital in the city’ s Dhanmondi area on Thursday.
An operator at the Fire Service Control Room told UNB that the fire erupted at the basement of the hospital on Green Road at around 1:30pm.
No casualties were reported immediately. Seven fire-fighting units rushed to the scene and brought the blaze under control around 2:20pm, the operator said. It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
