A fire broke out at the BDBL building in Dhaka’s Karwan Bazar on Sunday morning.
The fire originated from the 18th floor of the building around 6:30am, said Russell Sikdar, Duty Officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.
On information, four units of firefighters rushed there to and dousede the fire around 8:00am, he said adding that the firefighters extinguished the fire an hour later at 9:00am. None was reported injured in the fire. The cause of the fire and the extent of its damages will be known after inspection later, the fire service official said.
