‘Financial Management Course’ concludes

“Only efficient financial management can ensure optimum use of scarce public resources”, Comptroller & Auditor General of Bangladesh Masud Ahmed said this while he was awarding certificates among the Army officers who were participated in the ‘Financial Management Course’ at Financial Management Academy (FIMA) on Thursday.
The CAG advised the government officials to be more vigilant and responsible in spending public money to help achieve economic development and thereby improving the living standards of the people of the country.
“Despite having large budget deficit the country is consistently moving forward. So, everyone should make wholehearted efforts in serving the people by spending wisely through sound financial management.
“Complying with applicable rules and regulations the national resources have to be utilized for the betterment of the common people of the country,” the CAG lamented.
The certificate awarding ceremony presided over by Mohammad Moslem Uddin, Director General of FIMA.
Brigadier General Md Shah Alam Chowdhury ndc, afwc, psc, Director, Pay, Pension and Accounts Directorate, Army Head Quarter, Ms Farmeen Mowla, Director (Training), FIMA and Major Rubana Nousheen Mithila were present as spokespersons while senior officers of the Audit & Accounts Department were present in the programme.
Twenty-four officers of Bangladesh Army of the rank and status of Major were participated in the course.
