“Only efficient financial management can ensure optimum use of scare public resources, said Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh while awarding certificates among the officers of Bangladesh Army who participated in the “Financial Management Course” at Financial Management Academy on Wednesday.
The CAG advised the government officials to be more vigilant and responsible in spending public money to help achieve economic development and thereby improving the living standards of the people of the country.
He said that despite having large budget deficit the country is consistently moving forward. CAG urged everyone to make wholehearted efforts in serving the public by spending wisely through sound financial management.
He added that by complying with applicable rules and regulations the national resources have to be utilized for the betterment of the common people of the country.
The 10 day Financial Management Course commenced on 1st march 2015 and was participated by 24 officers of Bangladesh Army of the rank and status of Major.
