On behalf of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s nephew Bagerhat 1 constituency MP Sheikh Helal Uddin, financial assistance from his personal funds has been provided to 153 Durga Mandir in Chitalmari Upazila.
Chitalmari Upazila Awami League President Babul Hossain Khan and General Secretary Piyush Kanti Roy visited the temples from Monday to Thursday and provided financial assistance to the Durga Mandir on behalf of Sheikh Helal Uddin MP.
Among others, newly elected Chairman of Chitalmari Sadar Union Parishad Nizam Uddin Sheikh, Shibpur Union Parishad Chairman Md. Aliuzzaman Jewel Khalifa, Barbaria Union Parishad Chairman Masud Sardar, Kalatla Union Parishad Chairman Badsha Mia Sheikh, Hijla Union Parishad Chairman Kazi Abu Shahin and Upazila Awami League Vice President valiant freedom fighter Md. Belal Hossain Sheikh and other leaders of Upazila Awami League were present while providing financial assistance to Durga temples.
Apart from the leaders of the Upazila Awami League, the leaders of the Union Awami League and the fraternal and allied organizations of the Awami League were also present on the occasion.
