The Central Committee of Bangladesh Public Works Department Diploma Engineer Samity on Saturday provided Taka 1 lakh 30 thousand financial assistance to 50 families who were affected by the hillslide on June 13. Vice-President of the samity Mohammad Towfiqur Rahman was present as chief guest on Rangamati Shishu Niketan School premises.
Among others, Chittagong District General Secretary of the samity Mohammad Khorshed Alam.
Organising Secretary Mohammad Karim Uddin, Rangamati District Committee President Bappi Chakma, General Secretary Mohammad Lokman Hakim, Engineer Ronel Chakma, Principal of Rangamati Shishu Niketan Md Mostafa Kamal, were also present.
The leaders of the association said they will always stand beside the families affected by natural disasters.
