Finance Ministry Senior Secretary Hedayetullah Al Mamoon on Thursday called for finding ways of recovering default loans as such loans are increasingly becoming a matter of concern for the banking sector.
“We should review more about the default loans. We will have to work more deeply in this regard,” he said while receiving a Taka 10-crore cheque from the Bangladesh Development Bank Limited (BDBL) of its 2016 dividend at the Finance Ministry in the city.
BDBL Chairman M Yeasin Ali handed over the cheque to the senior secretary. Among others, Senior Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division M Eunusur Rahman, BDBL Managing Director Manjur Ahmed and high officials of the ministry were present at the function.
