The final round of Independence Cup Kabaddi competition begins today at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium at Mirpur with six matches are slated for the opening day.
Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) president and IGP AKM Shahidul Haque is expected to inaugurate the meet as chief guest
A total of ten teams, split into two groups, are taking part in the five-day meet, sponsored by Bashundhora Group and organized by BKF.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals scheduled to be held on April 26 while the final competition will be held on April 27.
Participating teams:
Group A – Border Guard Bangladesh, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Fie Service, district phase champion team and third place finishers of district phase team.
Group B – Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh Jail and runners-up team of district phase.
