The final airport emergency exercise will be held today at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here at 10am.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon will attend the inaugural session as the chief guest while Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Khurshed Alam Chowdhury will join as the special guest, Assistant Director (Fire) ASM Khaled told BSS yesterday.
He said all preparations have been completed to hold the exercise and entire security measures have been further strengthened marking the exercise.
Director of the airport Wing Commander Mohammad Zakir Hossain said necessary vehicles including bus, minibus, microbus and ambulance will move one after another through the 8-number gate of the airport.
Physicians and nurses and high officials of government and non-government organizations including Bangladesh Army, Air Force and Navy, Civil Aviation, Armed Police Battalion (APBN), Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Ansar will join the exercise.
