Pradip Ghosh directed ‘Shuttle Train’, featuring lives of the students of Chattogram University, who travel to the university daily on a shuttle train, is being screened at a restaurant in Dhanmondi.
The screenings, which commenced in Dhaka on October 18, ended yesterday.
The film will gradually be screened at different districts across the country in future.Shuttle Train, which premiered on February 24 this year, is based on a story titled ‘Bahe Samantaral’ by Mohsena Jharna.
It depicts the beauty of the Chittagong University, students’ lives, aspirations and others.The train, which carries more than 20,000 students daily, remains the centre of the film.
Former and current students of the university have acted in the film and rendered the playback songs.’
The film’s screenings will end today.
A total of 50 people were able to attend each screening, which drew a largenumber of former students of Chittagong University,’ Pradip Ghosh, director of the film, said.
