Film Actors’ Association elections expect tough contest

January 28 is the scheduled date for the upcoming elections of Bangladesh Film Actors’ Association. Two panels will contest in this election. One is Ilias Kanchan-Nipun panel and another is Misha-Zayed panel. Members of the Association are expecting tough contest in the upcoming elections.
The New Nation correspondent visited BFDC on January 16. The correspondent found popular film actors Riaz, Nirab, Shahnoor and villain Don were busy with gossiping at one side of the office of the Actors’ Association. During that time Misha Sawdagar came to them. Then Riaz and Misha passed delightful time.
Many contestants of two panels were
also present there. In the meantime, Ilias Kanchan was seeking votes for his panel among the voters. Riaz requested Misha, “Bhaijan (brother) please keep in mind our panel.” Misha replied, “We, all are artistes. Everybody remains for everybody
and will also remain for all.”
In the evening, Nipun came to FDC. Then everybody became busy with her. Nipun cordially talked with presented voters. Actress Shahnoor said, “I want to work
for the actors with full dedication. Actors’ Association is another family. I want to stand behind all the members of this Association. One thing is clear that most of the members want new leadership. Actors’ Association is for all. So, everybody should come forward for its development and
welfare of the actors.” Every member is also expected in this election there will also tough contest among the candidates for the posts of EC members. Popular villain Don is contesting for the post of EC member as independent candidate. Don said, “Actors love me so much. Inshallah, I will win in the election.” Nirab is contesting for the post of International Affairs Secretary, Riaz for post of Vice President, Shahnoor for post of Organizing Secretary, Symon Sadik for the post of Assistant General Secretary from Kanchan-Nipun panel.
