UNB, Dhaka :
Expressing its deep concern over the fact that the post of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has been lying vacant for more than two months, Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) on Wednesday urged President Abdul Hamid for an immediate appointment.
In a press statement, TIB Executive Director Dr Iftekharuzzaman said a constitutional post like that of CAG remaining vacant for such a long time is not coherent with the government’s commitment to strengthen institutional competence in the state structure, instil good governance and root out corruption.
