The government has made the presence of all field level officials and employees at office from 9am to 9:40am mandatory to bring dynamism in public works and to avoid loss to common people.

The directives were given at a circular issued by Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam on Tuesday.
“It has recently been noticed that some officials and employees do not attend office in time citing
excuse of official and personal affairs that make it impossible for people and staff of different organisations to contact the officials and employees concerned. On the other hand, it affects the general citizens and the other hand it makes the pace of public works sluggish,” the circular said.
In that context, the field level officials and employees are being directed to stay at office compulsorily from 9:00am to 9:40am and to carry out normal official activities, the official order said.
But, the obligation will not applicable in case of giving protocol to any VVIP or VIP, facing sudden accident, joining important meeting and traveling through approved schedule.
