The Muktijoddha Foundation has expressed thanks and gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her government’s allocation Taka 20,000 as freedom fighters’ monthly allowance in the proposed budget for 2021-22 fiscal year.
In a statement, foundation president Gazi Delwar Hossain, sub-sector commander of the Liberation War, congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, for her outstanding initiatives for the country’s heroic freedom fighters who took part in the War of Liberation in 1971.
He said the premier, the worthy successor of Father of the Nation, has once again proved that she is always by the side of the patriotic freedom fighters all the time.
The freedom fighters wished long life and good health of the world leader Bangladesh’s premier Sheikh Hasina.
In the proposed budget in the 2021-22 FY, the minimum monthly allowance of valiant freedom fighters has been proposed to be raised to Taka 20,000 from the existing Taka 12,000.
The MF leaders, on behalf of the freedom fighters, also assured the head of the government of providing their full support in all works for the welfare of the dearest motherland.
The signatories on behalf of the Muktijoddha Foundation include: foundation general secretary Nazrul Islam Babul, vice-president Brigadier General (Retd) GM Quamrul Islam and office secretary Armond Johor Gomez.
