Three unidentified miscreants slaughtered to death a freedom fighter at Garialpara area under Kurigram municipality Gorerpar Sharak at about 7am on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Hossain Ali 65 of the area.Dead Hossain Ali was mainly inhabitant of Mogolbasa Nayarchar area under Sadar Upazila of the district. Next he finally stayed at his Kurigram municipality’s resident for a long time.
Eyewitnesses and police sources said the freedom fighter was walking near Ashrafea Government Primary School by the side of Kurigram-Gorerpar road some miscreants came there with motor bike and slaughtered him. Hearing the screams while the locals were coming on the spot they exploded two cocktails and managed to escape .
Kurigram Superintendent of Police Tobarak Ullah visited on the spot. The incident may be occurred as per pre plan.It is being investigated as it previous enmity or others, he said.
