Abu Jafar, station officer of Pirojpur Fire Service and Civil Defence, said that his (Moazzem Hossain) house was gutted in fire at the West Dumritola area under Pirojpur Sadar upazila.
Informed, firefighters along with their three fire extinguisher vehicles rushed to the scene at around 8am and doused the flame with the help of the locals within an hour, he added.
It is primarily assumed that the fire broke out due to electrical short circuit, he said, adding that detailed information will be provided after the proper investigation.
