Five hundred houses will be built for the displaced Rohingyas, funded by the King Salman Center, a Saudi aid agency, and managed by the Allama Fazlullah Foundation, a local partner.
On Monday at 11 am in the city’s Chandgaon Rupali residential area Allama Fazlullah Foundation office in a press conference, Chittagong-15 constituency MP Prof. Dr. Abu Reza Muhammad Nezamuddin Nadvi gave this information.
He said various activities have been carried out with the help of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center for Rohingya refugees and poor Bangladeshi people. The Allama Fazlullah Foundation alone has implemented a project worth around Tk 100 crore for the Rohingya refugees and the extremely poor Bangladeshis.
King Salman Center is the world’s largest humanitarian aid organization. It stands by developing countries and needy people all over the world. The King Salman Center is going to implement a project to build 500 houses for Rohingya refugees and the Allama Fazlullah Foundation Bangladesh will build these houses as a local partner, he said.
Allama Fazlullah Foundation Chairman Prof. Dr. Abul Ala Muhammad Hosamuddin Allama Fazlullah Foundation read out a written statement at the conference. Allama Fazlullah Foundation Joint Secretary General Prof. Shafi Ullah Qutubi, Project Director Abul Ata Muhammad Emad Uddin, Social Services Secretary ANM Selim Chowdhury Chairman, Publicity Secretary Prof. Shabbir Ahmed, Executive Members Muhammad Salamat Ullah, Muhammad Wayez, Maulana Muhammad Amin Nadvi, Foundation Project Officer Moazzem Hossain Chowdhury Shaw, Chief Accountant of the Foundation Borhan Uddin, Accountant Georges Ahmad Chowdhury were present among others on the occasion.
