The Karnaphuli Gas Systems Limited on Friday suspended the supply of Gas to the Chittagong Urea Fertilizer Ltd (CUFL) to ensure the uninterrupted power supply in T20 World Cup scheduled on March 16, 2014.
Petrobangla (Bangladesh Oil, Gas & Mineral Corporation) sources confirmed this to the risingbd.com.
Meanwhile, the CUFL authority, however, alleged that their production remain stopped for suspending the Gas supply in the factory.
“To ensure the uninterrupted power supply in the T20 World Cup, Gas supply to all most all the fertilizer factories has been suspended in all over the country,” Md Rashidul Islam, the Public Relations Officer of the Petrobangla confirmed.
