A team of Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) in a drive here today realized Taka 50,000 as fine from the owner of a fertilizer factory for various irregularities.
The team led by Assistant Director of Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) in Joypurhat Iftekharul Alam Rizvi conducted the drive at Croptech Bangladesh Limited, fined Taka 50,000 for various irregularities including manufacturing and marketing the adulterated fertilizers in Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) area in the district town.
At that time various materials for the production of the adulterated fertilizers were recovered from the factory, Iftekharul Alam Rizvi said.
The factory was fined for various irregularities and violation of the Consumer Rights Protection Act-2009.
Members of the law enforcement agencies assisted in the operation team.
As the part of authorities of the DNCPR drive would continue in the district, he said.
