In 1998, on BTV Ferdous acted and Basu Chatterjee directed movie Hothat Brishti was aired during Eid-ul-Fitr. Acting in that film, Ferdous came into limelight to play the role of Ajit. Not only had this he also received the National Film Award for acting in that movie. Before that he also acted instead of Salman Shah’s role in Chhotku Ahmed’s movie Buker Bhitor Agun. But his professional career started through Hothat Brishti. From that point of view he has already crossed two decades of his acting career.
While sharing his feelings in this regard Ferdous told this correspondent, “With the Allah’s blessings I have been acting in film industry now. I can mention the names of directors like Chhotku Ahmed, Basu Chatterjee, Bibi Russell, my family, parents and two children. Among heroines, I can mention the names of Moushumi, Purnima, Poppy, Rituporna and Priyanka. For them I have come into present position. In fact, I am grateful to all.”
