Ferdous starts shooting of new movie today

The five times National Film Award winning actor Ferdous had been elected EC Member and got the highest number of votes in the Film Artistes’ Association’s election held on January 28. He got
the opportunity to campaign for himself for only five days in the election. Before election, he was busy with shooting of Hridy Haque directed government-grant movie, 1971 Seisob Din. From today (February 1), the actor will start shooting of movie Khoma Nei under the direction of ZH Mintu at Tungipara in Gopalganj. Sheikh Maruf wrote story, script and dialogues of the movie. Ferdous informed that he will take part in the shooting for next two days.
While talking about acting in this movie, Ferdous said, “Basically story of the movie revolves with the time period from the Liberation War of Bangladesh to the killing of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and later years. It means till 80s. I took part in the shooting of this movie for few days earlier. I am playing the role of professor in this movie. I can say my character is a guest appearance in the movie. Though it is a guest role but I am working cordially.”
Ferdous also said that stories of Hridy Haque’s 1971 Seisob Din and recently completed shooting of movie, Dampara are also based on the Liberation War. Directed by Shuddhoman Choiton, Anan Zaman wrote story, script and dialogues of movie Dampara. According to Ferdous, among his contemporary actors, he got the highest number of National Film Awards and he acted maximum number of movies which stories were based on Liberation War. He got the opportunity to act in Basu Chatterjee’s movie Hothat Brishti due to acting in late Salman Shah’s movie Buker Bhitor Agun. For acting in Hothat Brishti, Ferdous got the National Film Award for first time. Then he also got these awards for acting Syed Wahiduzzaman Diamond’s Gangajatra, Noim Imtiaz Neyamul’s Ek Cup Cha, Gulzar’s Kushum Kushum Prem and Saiful Islam Mannu’s Putro.
