The five times National Film Award winning actor Ferdous Ahmed and viewers’ choice popular actress Sohana Saba took part in the shooting of movie Maniker Lal Kakra recently after taking a break of one year. The shooting of last lot of the movie was held recently in the capital’s Uttara area. Earlier, shooting of the movie began last year. But authorities of the movie postponed the shooting due to the coronavirus pandemic. Based on writer and novelist Manik Bandopadhyay’s life, Anjir Liton wrote story of the movie while Masum Reza wrote its script. Popular TV actor and director Afzal Hossain gave direction of the movie.
While talking about acting in the movie, Ferdous said, “Afzal Hossain is one of the popular actors of the country. He is also my favourite actor. Earlier, I have worked a good number of TVCs under the direction of Afzal Uncle and it was my long cherished desire that I acted in a cinema under his direction. To work in the movie Maniker Lal Kakra, my dream came into true. The shooting of the movie began last month in the capital’s Uttara area. The story of Maniker Lal Kakra is amazing and Sohana Saba is also a talented actress.
I believe it will be a good movie, which
will be enjoyed by the viewers.”
Sohana Saba shared her feelings by this way, “I’m acting in the film only because of Afzal Bhai. After one year break, we took part in the shooting of the movie. Ferdous Bhai is a
popular actor of the country. We tried our level best to portray our characters properly.”
