U-15 Football: Feni will face Narayanganj in final today

Feni District will face Narayanganj District in the final match of the Sailors National Under-15 Football Championship today (Wednesday) at 5 pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder MP will be the chief guest in the final and later he will distribute the prizes. BFF and SAFF President Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin will also be present on the occasion.
State owned Bangladesh Television (BTV World) will telecast the match live while Bangladesh Betar will broadcast the running commentary of the match from Bangabandhu National Stadium.
The champions team will be given TK two lakh while the runners-up team will get Tk one lakh as prize money in addition to trophy and medals. Best player of the final will also be awarded with trophy.
In a pre-match press conference at the BFF House Tuesday afternoon, captain and coach of both the finalists expressed their optimism to win the final playing a good match.
BFF vice president cum tournament committee chairman Badal Roy also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, Feni District reached the final with all-win record eliminating Dhaka District by 5-4 goals in sudden death session of tie-breaker as the 2nd semifinal match between them was locked in a goalless position in stipulated 90-minute at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday.
Narayanganj District booked a seat for the final with unbeaten run beliminating Sylhet District also by 5-4 goals in penalty shootout as the first semifinal match between two teams was locked in 1-1- at the same venue on Sunday.
Eight zonal champion teams from initially participated 61 districts, are playing in the final round from August 23 at Bangabandhu National Stadium and Dhanmondi Abahani ground respectively.
