Feni District team reached the zonal final of the Sailor-BFF National U-15 Football Championship eliminating Cox’s Bazar District team by 2-1 goals in the final at the MA Aziz Stadium in the port city of Chittagong on Sunday.
They will face hosts Chittagong District team in the zonal final on Tuesday.
In the day’s zonal semis, Jalil Ahmed put Feni ahead in the 12th minute while Mohammad Mohiuddin restored the parity for Cox’s Bazar in the 20th minute.
Shaikat scored the match-winning goal for Feni in the 69th minute.
Earlier seven district teams–Barisal, Sylhet, Thakurgaon, Narayanganj, Dhaka, Natore and Jessore-emerged zonal champions to reach final round of the meet.
