Female teacher of EWU found hanging in city

The body of a lecturer of East West University (EWU) was found hanging at her rented residence in the city’s Aftabnagar area early Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Rabeya Kulsum Pinky, 26, lecturer of Finance and Banking Department of the EWU.
She was daughter of Jahir Ahmed, a retired government high official and hailing from Halishahar of the Port city Chittagong, police said. Abdul Jalil, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Badda Police Station, said, “Brother of Rabeya Kulsum Pinkey found her hanging with the ceiling fan on the second floor at House No. 38, Road No. 3, at Aftabnagar around 2:30am.
She was rushed to United Hospital in Gulshan by her brother where doctors declared her dead around 4:00am.”
Later, her body was sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) morgue, the OC said, adding that the primary symptoms showed it was suicide over the love affairs.
Police are looking into the matter tracking the mobile call list and face book information to ascertain whether it was a case of suicide.
The body was handed over to the family members of the deceased after autopsy at the DMCH morgue, the OC said.
