Female teacher missing in city

A female teacher, Ferdousi Ekram Focia, of city’s Maple Leaf International School has been remaining missing for 15 days.
Focia used to teach mathematics in the senior section of the school’s Dhanmondi campus.
She, along with her family, has been living at an apartment condominium in capital’s Green Road area.
AKM Ehsan Ullah, Focia’s elder brother, said
that Focia had gone out from her house on July 2 evening saying she was going to meet a student.
He also said that Focia had left her cell phone at home.
He filed a general diary with Kalabagan Police Station on July 3 in this connection.
Kalabagan Police Station SI Md Bablur Rahman said that the police are yet to find any clue regarding the matter.
 “Focia was religious, reserved, and had very few friends. She was frustrated with her career progress, and used to spend most of her time giving private tuition,” said Ehsan.
 “After she went missing, we checked her Facebook account to find out if she had any radical ties. However, we did not find any such conversations or posts.”
Focia had completed BSc (Honours) in mathematics from Bangladesh University and MSc from Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology.
